The republican party wants everyone to adhere to christian sharia law. The republican elitists know their base consists of evangelicals, so they have to appease the mentality of their base.

Here's some examples of republicans trying to force Americans to adhere to biblical law.

-Abortion (women should be banned from having abortions because the child is a 'soul' at conception)
-10 Commandments on public property (strange because many christians say the OT is irrelevant now)
-God on the money, god added to the pledge
-In god we trust as a motto
-LGBTQ community as evil and should be discriminated against based on the bible
-Alcohol banned on Sundays
-Politics from the pulpit without tax consequences
-Marijuana banned (devil weed)
-Science is evil
-Lot's more

And all the Republican lawmakers I've contacted in Oklahoma don't want civil rights federal class protections extended to LGBT because they supposedly want to "protect" the "religious rights" of private business owners. So, if my particular religious faith were to indicate that I can't hire blacks or Jews or sell them a cake, am I still protected as a bakery owner? I might subscribe to or create a faith that deems blacks and Jews to be "children of the devil". Anybody can found any religion and write a canon or bible about it.

So, my personal faith notwithstanding,
I CANNOT refuse to sell a person a cake or whatever based upon race, color, sex or religion on account of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which already protects those classes expressly...I can refuse to serve any person because they have bad body odor and I don't want such person to stink up my bakery.

Lack of personal hygiene is not a protected class and God forbid that it ever becomes one.

And no, I would never refuse to sell an LGBT person or such person perceived by me as such a wedding cake FOR THAT REASON. If you come into my shop smelling like a sewer, however, no cake for you from me. If you stink so badly and refuse to leave when asked then the police are called. You really need a CAKE of soap and hot water to shower with.
