Today we stand together

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
Today all religious and spiritual communities should stand together with the muslim community and we should be there with them and for them. The Terror that was made toward the two mosques are evil deeds and should be not be taken lightly.

I hope all people who not see them self as religious/spiritual can stand together with the muslims too.

I am very pleased that you have raised this thread and voiced your support on behalf of the victims.

FYI, I oppose murder.
What can be done?
Do what one can.
Back when 9/11 happened, I convinced one bigot
to not hate some Muslims we both knew.

I was injured in the 1996 Manchester bombing, do i blame the Irish for it... No.

I do however have an irrational fear of visiting to ireland.

One way I am fortunate in life is, I have a
really nice smile. People, men especially,
like to get a smile...it does not cost me anything,
and sometimes it seems like it makes another's
day.

In NYC, 911 is still very fresh.
It is hard to be a Muslim, and feel dagger eyes.

I can do my little part if I make eye contact,
smile, let them know that not everyone is
against them.

(I'd forgotten about that. Dang...painful.)
Sounds like a pretty rational fear to me.
Like my fear of cars coming up behind me when biking.

I was riding a bicycle when a car hit me from behind.
Fibula in five pieces, concussion, skin on pavement.

I stay on bike paths now. No roads. Roads bad.

Dang....there's a lot of that going around.
I was luckier with only one break in my left fibula.
Back in the 70s, cyclists were just starting to wear
helmets. I'm glad I did. (The early ones were ugly.)

The way my helmet was scraped on the
pavement, I hate to think what it would have done
to my face if I didnt have it.
