I need to make something clear here about this image. The body/statue of Christ on the cross was already there, the only thing that miraculously appeared, when the photo was developed, was the scourge marks all over his body. The marks did not acutally appear on the clean corpus (statue of Chirst on the cross), only did they later appear in the photo, after it was developed, which was taken during a renovation of that particular church.
Notice the darker color of the lower legs, where circulation has stopped or has slowed down, the lower legs having then turned grey/blue/black/purple or whatever color you think that is..
I had an injury to my foot when it was crushed in a motorcycle accident and that's pretty much what my foot and sometimes my lower leg looked like. My foot was a horrid color for 9 months, purple, grey, red, yellow, blue. I couldn't look at it and this photo reminds me of that and how painful it was for those 9 months...
I can appreciate, to some degree, trauma to the foot, but obviously not to this degree. A nail through the foot would have been unbarably painful and immediately would put someone into shock and cause most to pass out, if not kill the person, just from that kind of trauma/stress to the body...
Christ was a tough dude for sure...
Jesus Crucified Miracle Picture
The markings never appeared on the corpus, just the photo...
This is something only one who has deep faith in Christ can appreciate. No need to try and prove this, this is something that is felt in a true disciples of Christ's heart. Christ truly suffered for the world, so we would not have to, if we would but turn from our sins..
The stripes/scourges found all over his body are also found on the Shroud of Turin. His whole body was scourged, not just his back. His arms, legs and torso, front and back, were thoroughly scourged/whipped with 39 stripes, each containing three spiked small metal balls..
