A beautiful segment of Muslims coming together with the Jewish community out of a horrible tragedy. Regardless of your views on Islam, what is central to the tenants of Islam and Judaism is to reach the core of humanity which is that “spark of God.”

Its great to see brothers of the interfaith community come together in times like this. Regardless of who is right or wrong we are so much stronger as a community when the diverse faith communities come together. Islam is an essential part of who we are as people on this earth. The vast majority of Muslims are peaceful.

It is always welcome to see people come together in sad tragedy, and on very rare occasion in times of tranquility, but I think it is a reach to consider this a manifestation of a 'true' Islam in the contemporary world with Judaism. Christianity, and Islam living behind walls exclusive belief and violence is more the rule and not the exception.

Without consistence over time this really becomes only window dressing.

The relationship of the Baha'i Faith with Islam is complex. Our Faith originated from Islam and we believe Muhammad to be a Messenger of God and the Holy Quran the authenticated repository of the word of God. As Baha'is we should associate in private and publically with peoples of all faiths in a spirit of love and fellowship including Muslims. OTOH we believe Islam has strayed too far from it essence to address the problems of the modern world. Signs include acts of violence and persecution of others including the Baha'is.

I understand what you mean by window dressing. Its hard to know people's true motives and sincerity. Having seen the OP video I believe the Muslims reaching across religious and cultural boundaries is sincere. I find a great deal of hope and comfort in such acts. I'm part of the interfaith council for my city and see our group as becoming an increasingly strong voice for the underlying unity of all genuine Faiths.

The core message of any faith especially faiths in dealing with the prophet Abraham is the complete obedience and submission to the will of God. As the rabbi said the "God of compassion." Submitting to peace and compassion is the trademark of true Islam. As I've said before, the current projection of Islam is nothing more than the manifestation geopolitics that have evolved over time. Unfortunately (which is something many people are not talking about), many Muslims today in those regions are coveted more by culture than spirituality which we can say the same for Jews. I believe many Muslim Imams, Alims, or what have you in those areas are motivated by their social climate and given the circumstances many of those people are going through, they infuse their sermons with inflammatory doctrine.

Islam is like a seed. Plant it in fertile soil and it grows into a garden. Plant it into a desolate wasteland it may grow into weeds with thorns. This is a principle that can be allocated to many faiths.

Amen to that....If Abraham were here to see all of this he would weep at all the turmoil

Thanks for sharing, this is beautiful. Helping others that are in need is part of our faith, at the end of the day we all are brothers/sisters in humanity.

When we explore our oneness and common ground based in the virtues, true Faith is found, no matter what you believe.

It is true that God Almighty criticized some of the Jewish positions in the Qur'an
But God said that we respect them and treat them with respect, friendliness, honor and nobility
Here, emphasis should be placed on the education of Muslim ignorants
The abuse is only for those who corrupt, as well as any other sect corrupting, including Muslims
Not all Muslims are clean and free from sin or criminality
We must be fair
virtuous, worthy and Charity is the principle of dealing between all creatures

In the end Islam is a religion of coexistence in one way or another
But the ignorant are those who deny peaceful coexistence through inflammatory terms
How much we lost his brother to us because of ignorance
How much we lost faith to people because of racial and sectarian differences
The differences do not mean house demolitions

Therefore, I sincerely call for every non-Muslim and Muslim guidance and the right way and get mercy as well as other creatures

It is great to see that humanity is gravitating towards truth and things are changing in that direction. The true Islam is that gravity/energy which is in the nature of all beings. Submission (Islam); as all things already submit, all things have the essence and Light of God within them whether they want it of not. We are all made of the same light and energized by it. Particles, atoms, elements, molecules ...

The great unifying force of all is God which is the source, the Light, the Singularity. If we all feel and think this way, there is no religion, race, politics, or circumstances that can divide us. We will then be able to evolve into our next level of existence.

Especially those who seek the truth and willing to open their hearts and minds to the flood of energy that surrounds us and within us.

In this vague wording it is very very similar claims as Christianity, Baha'i Faith, Hinduism, Buddhism and other beliefs.

It is believed in most religions and belief systems that they are the one True belief in submission to the Source some call God(s).
