Trump announce tariffs that shock rest of GOP.

Trump is not only not an economist, he clearly does not understand the issue of tariffs and trade wars based on the nonsense that he has spewed. And if he's supposedly so smart, why has several of his business enterprises gone into bankruptcy, and why has he been so dishonest, thus often not paying sub-contractors or paying back loans? He's been involved in around 1450 lawsuits, many of which he lost.

And if he's supposedly so smart and honest, why has he continually refused to put forth his tax returns, which he had promised on numerous occasions he would do but never delivered, always finding a lame excuse not to?

But Trump is right about one thing, namely that he can do anything, including shooting a person right in the face, to use his example, and his followers with excuse anything he does. Talk about "blind faith".

You can’t be serious. What evidence in god’s greed earth do you have that Trump is one of the most qualified experts on tarriffs?

In the face of emotion based, knee-jerk anti-Trump, pro-Obama socialist rhetoric which lacks any substance, I'll politely respond to your sarcasm by referring you to my last post. But I suppose Trump's successes and obvious economic competence, exposes Obama's our-best-years-are-behind-us attitude, and only stokes the fires of the socialist-establishment's hatred. G'day.

You made a specific claim that was rather dubious.

Post 58 has no evidence that Trump is one of the most qualified experts on tarriffs. It simply asserts so.

Trump does run a huge business, but I’m not sure how that makes him a leading expert on national-level foreign economic policy, let alone the more specific question of tariffs.

If Trump’s business prowess is the only evidence offered, it is rather relevant that many of his business ventures have failed and that bankruptcy is a common theme.

At the end of the day, running casinos and golf courses, and leasing your name for large buildings, does not particularly indicate that you are “one of the most qualified people” on tarriffs.

My response was based on facts, not "hatred", but since you mention "hatred", what about Trump's hate-filled rhetoric such as be bellowed out in Pennsylvania this last Saturday? With all the name-calling he used and has used many times before, is he a "socialist" as well?
