Trump AWOL

The president, in the midst of a huge rise in covid cases, has been playing golf. He has consistently ignored and underplayed this disease since the beginning.

Instead of attending to the people's business, keeping them safe, he has been focused on a losing attempt to steal the election. Every lawsuit he has made has been thrown out due to lack of evidence.

Instead of providing the security briefings that are given *even in disputed elections*, he has further endangered the country by refusing to even beginning a transition.

At what point do we see his actions and lack of actions as fundamentally treasonous?

It's my understanding that Mr. Trump prevailed in one out of 20 cases. Nineteen cases alleging fraud were thrown out for lack of evidence. A 20th case, which had nothing to do with fraud, was decided in his favor -- thus disenfranchising a relatively small group of voters in Pennsylvania.

When will people look up what constitutes treason and quit misapplying the term

Mr. Trump's refusal to allow the transition teams to go to work is perfectly in keeping with his infantile moral development and middle school grasp of reality.

I suppose some of Mr. Trump's supporters will perceive my comments about him as meant to be insulting. That's their right, but it's not my intent here. As I see it, I'm just stating the truth. To my understanding, there is little or no factual evidence that on the most basic level, Mr. Trump has a moral sense more advanced than that of an infant, nor is there any significant evidence that on a fundamental level he's more realistic than the average middle school student.

He still claims the election was rigged.

Trump seems to acknowledge Biden win, but he won't concede

The president has previously refused to accept the results of the election and he dug in again Sunday, in a subsequent tweet saying, “I concede NOTHING! We have a long way to go.” Even while seemingly acknowledging Biden’s victory, he also argued without evidence that the president-elect won only because the election was “rigged.” Trump then made unsubstantiated complaints about access for poll watchers and about vote tabulations and asserted, “WE WILL WIN!” Twitter soon posted warning labels about the tweets.

John Bolton, a former Trump national security advisor, said it was important for party leaders to explain to voters that Trump did lose and that his claims of election fraud are baseless. Bolton left the administration last year. He says he resigned; Trump says he fired Bolton.

“I think as every day goes by, it’s clearer and clearer there isn’t any evidence. But if the Republican voters are only hearing Donald Trump’s misrepresentations, it’s not surprising that they believe it,” Bolton said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” “It’s critical for other Republican leaders to stand up and explain what actually happened. Donald Trump lost what by any evidence we have so far was a free and fair election.”

Do you think that his playing less golf &
more White House would improve things?

Doubtful. Republicans don't implement policies that help the average citizen. Democrats do that.
Like Democrats pursuing the Vietnam War using
draftees....a horror ended by Nixon (a Republican).
This average (slightly below, actually) citizen
benefited greatly.

Democrats & Republicans....each are so convinced
of their moral, intellectual, & political superiority.
Broader perspectives could help alleviate that.
