The same goes for Trump. The US is not only a plutocracy, it's also a gerontocracy.
Biden (born 1942) is even older than Trump (born 1946).
We will get the country we deserve and it won't be Biden's fault.

I personally think Biden is a crap choice but vastly the superior choice over Trump.
If Biden still has a chance to save his ship, but Dems and Libs have been reluctant to accept the nation is starting to percieve them as weak in regards to riots. Amd thats because theyve been largely downplaying and dismissing them, acting as of the bit that did happen doesn't really matter because it's not as bad as RW media portrays it. Amd it comes off as them being reluctant to criticize their own (much like how the Republicans refuses to apologize for their crap behavior) (and yes, they get away with not doing so because they are better at politics than Dems).

Actually, the polling was overall pretty much right. What was wrong was how the media interpreted the polls. Most journalists don't know a whole lot about polling, statistics, and probability, and sometimes it really shows. One of those times was 2016. The stories they put out gave people the false impression that Ms Clinton had things all but sewn up.
Everyone in America should be reading Nate Silver's 538 website during election years. Generally speaking, it's one of the best sources of information on what the polling really means.

Can Mr. Trump win? Let me put it this way. While it is normal for the race to tighten after the conventions, this is an extraordinary year. Here's why...
The country is in the deepest recession since the Great Depression. The deadliest pandemic since 1918 is raging out of control. There are nationwide civil protests against racism and police brutality involving 13 to 26 million people in the streets at one time or another. We have a president who is the most corrupt in memory. Ten million people are on the verge of being evicted from their homes. Two or three times that number are behind on their rent. Millions of people are reporting they don't have enough food to feed their families. Unemployment is over 10%. And the list goes on and on.
Yet, the president is within striking distance of winning the election. By all rights, he should be on the ropes by now, but instead, he's within striking distance.
So, yeah, Mr. Trump could win this one.

I dunno what that means about many US voters, but he could win.
And if he does it will affect us Brits, I reckon. Poor old Boris is going to have to slobber and pander up to him for yonks.

Ther are night and day differences between Trump and Biden.
Since those differences are not enough for you to support one over the other, I stand by my comment.

What the hell are you talking about? I am personally involved in promoting voter turnout in Illinois and actively addressing voter suppression in Wisconsin. What about you?
