I don't know what rock you were living under during the campaign, but he certainly did.
Even RF Christians like
@BilliardsBall and many others thought that he had been born again or something.
It was one of Trumps most striking victories. He convinced the conservative Christian voters that he had found Jesus.
Tom
Apparently I was under a rock. I'm not sure it was all that clear prior to the election.
I heard the
rationalizations. . . They liked Pence and they liked Trump's horrible rhetoric during the third debate regarding the Supreme Court's impact on women's health. . . And they were willing to excuse his obvious moral problems to get that.
But seriously, this revoking of the Johnson Amendment is out of left field, and clearly not a campaign promise. . . He's giving them what he promised, why add so much more than he promised?
What can I say? I was wrong. . . Again.
Rev voted for Trump and I don't intend to let him forget it.
Tom
In Rev's defense, he was not a fan of Clinton's aggressive stance and interventionist positions . . . Drone strikes, arming bad people, and continuing conflicts.
I myself held my nose when I voted for her. It was my biggest criticism of Obama and Clinton. Trump could have been a peacemonger for al we knew. Maybe he still will be in the end. . .
