Yes. It causes divisiveness for starters. His supporters believe whatever he says, even when he makes completely unsubstantiated claims. His lie today about revamping our nuclear arsenal is pretty dangerous, because it undercuts his credibility.I think any deleterious effects by the act of lying should be called out.
Has Trump actually caused any detriment aside from having his personal opinion critiqued for it's truthfulness or lack thereof?
Really, the major damage is that our leader has to retain some credibility. When Trump keeps lying, other world leaders won't take what he says seriously. That is a huge problem for obvious reasons.
