Trump: "My nuclear button is 'much bigger,' 'more powerful'"

Yes really.
History and statistics show that in war situations, leaders always get re-elected. (even unpopular ones)
Trump is in power, past political battles are in the past. he is the one who would gain the benefit from a war.
My only hope would be that the voters would see past that. But I highly doubt it.

Despite numerous provocations and threats by North Korea for some reason the supposedly so dubbed "unhinged trump" that would call in the nuclear strikes has never emerged, it was and is fear mongering by much of the media but that's none of my business.

Trump in 1999, sounds like he was ahead of the curve when some others were wringing their hands wondering what to do:
Trump continues to match Kim of n Korea with insanity and high school type pee contests. If Kim Jongun is unhinged then so is the leader of the US. Everyone knows Us has many nuclear weapons but everyone also knows they can never be used, at least most sane people know that.

So who put the nukes in to the hands of the insane.?
Or was it accidental?

One may not be fond of Hillary, and I was one of them, but nobody in their right mind could claim that she's as crazy and reckless as the Donald, and there were more than ample warnings that this was the case long before the election.

Therefore, to me, saying Hillary was more of a "war-monger" was just an excuse for some to vote for who they really wanted to vote for, maybe because he's a fellow businessman, or that he was entertaining, or they had an ax to grind, or... IOW, they needed an excuse, so some invented the "war-monger" facade even though Trump had asked a military adviser three times during his debate prepping that if we have nukes why aren't we using them?

Now we're paying the price, and the price may be getting a lot higher. .

I didn't hear claims that she's "crazy". Her danger was much more deliberate in nature.
So we faced a choice.....loose cannon crazy danger....or considered intentional danger.
You picked your lesser of 2 evils. I picked mine.
(Too bad your party scuttled the safer Bernie option.)

To really p1ss off the Democrats here?

Perhaps you're unfamiliar with her governmental record which favors war?
Or her threat to "obliterate Iran"?
Now we're paying the price, and the price may be getting a lot higher. .
While Trump is dangerous (as I said before the election), we've no new wars....yet.
Don't count your chickens before they're hatched.

Btw, are you familiar with Harrison Bergeron?
Think President McCloskey.

I have always maintained on this board that Kim Jong Un is not crazy or insane as the media likes to present him as. Kim's yapping Chihuahua routine has worked for years on other leaders, not so with Trump who kicks the little bugger off the pants leg of the U.S.

Surely he asks the leader of the largest party if they are able to form a government, with a working majority or by coalition. If they decline or fail, he then asks the question of the next largest party. If they also fail, it is open to him to call another election.

The Existing Prime minister and cabinet remain in control till a replacement with a majority is found.

Prime minister in most commonwealth countries use this system. Prime ministers are not elected.
It is the Government that is in power not the Prime minister, they can be replaced with out a further election.
Sovereignty lays with Parliament not the Government.
Parliament can vote down a prime minister and government at any time.
Ultimate Sovereignty is held by the people, who elect the individual members of parliament.

Thanks for the deeper explanation. I would embark on an essay elucidating all of the fine details of the Electoral College system but after all, who cares?

Awesome so you wouldn’t mind living in N Korea where you get persecuted for practicing religion? Must be a big misunderstanding.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with how the American election results are worked out (I'm British, not American).
I thought he got more votes than Clinton - did he get fewer? If so, that seems a peculiar method to choose a president.

Trump got about three million fewer votes than Clinton. Thanks to the electoral college, however, that didn't matter and he became president anyway. The electoral college is complicated, so rather than write an essay describing it here, I'd advise you to google it. But the net effect is that it can, under certain circumstances, throw the election to the candidate with the fewer votes.

Trump is two to three times smarter than Einstein. A genius unequaled. Not only does he have the biggest brain, his hands, feet and the rest are the largest ever created by Gog. His name will be carved on Mt. Rushmore.

WOW & I have lived to see it!!!!
