"Who Won the Popular Vote?
All the ballots haven't been counted yet, but it looks like Hillary Clinton really did win the nationwide popular vote -- if not the presidency -- by a considerable margin."

It looks like, by their math, Hillary could have several million more votes than Trump when all is said and done... I don't know that this has happened before by such a wide margin.

Tilden v Hayes was (percentagewise).

Wow, once again we really dodged the bullet, eh.

Like whine about the electoral college for four years or more? Even trump said take to the streets for the issue some years ago, don't know if his perspective is any different just cause it benefited him. People have been whining bout it ever since Bush lost popular but won presidency 16 years ago.

I wish Republicans had this type of proactive attitude during 8 years of Obama being in office instead of draping teabags over their faces and labeling him an oppressive, socialist Super-Muslim.

Wa Po says Hillary is still ahead in the pop vote (this morning)....
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-goes-to-a-fake-news-site-with-false-numbers/

Still, it's irrelevant.
We have a system under which Trump won by a landslide.
To complain about the rules this late in the game is wrong.

Agreed, but the OP is wrong so he should admit fault. This thread should have never been created because the topic is irrelevant regardless who wins the popular vote.

That labeling wasn't from mainstream Republicans holding office.
Similarly, Democrats in office aren't the ones calling Trump the next Hitler.

It wasn't? They certainly seemed to embrace the Tea Party and their rhetoric.

Hitler comparisons from either side are also beyond stupid and no one should be making them.

Even most Tea Partiers weren't that extreme.
One must be careful when a loud noise comes from a direction.
It could be just a few in that direction making the noise.

True dat.

There were an awful lot of them that believed Obama wasn't US born and a radical Muslim. Certainly not all, but more than I think you're alluding to, but that's a whole other debate.

It could be just a few in that direction making the noise.
One should also take notice when said noise is becoming increasingly louder.

I say it's quieted down.
Notice that Trump long ago abandoned challenging Obama's domestic birth.
