When you need a license to operate something or in this case - broadcast something - you have to follow certain guidelines. The license from the FCC comes with terms and conditions. You are given a manual and guidelines and if you don't abide by those certain rules and regulations then the license can be revoked. For example: you have to act in accordance with the copyright Act, you have to refrain from using foul language over the air etc.
If the intention is proven that they switched the answers of this candidate to protect exposing her incompetence then it is wrong and by default - it is interfering with the election because people need to see what Kamala is really made of. They need to know what they are voting for!
CBS should not be allowed to do this.

CBS is a broadcaster with a century of experience. They have lawyers and surely follow the laws. Let's not forget their litigant is Trump, a chronic liar and fraudster. If we go based on reputation alone CBS wins. Trump is a scumbag.

Imagine that, an indicted guy being tried for crimes. That's how the justice system works.

Do you understand how civil cases work?

Actually I do. Some yars ago I was sued twice. I couldn't afford a lawyer so I studied the Missouri rules of civil procedure and represented myself in court. I dealt with interogatories and the discovery process. As a pro se defendant I beat both professional law firms. What's funny is how many mistakes their lawyers made. Sloppy work.

You can sue anyone for damages. What damages you may ask? Well if Trump wins then it may be hard to prove damages. However it won't matter then!

This lawsuit looks baseless, and falls into the category of slapp suit. It's dangerous because a fake lawsuit could result in a countersuit.

In Missouri anyone can file a lawsuit, and the application needs very little evidence attached. All it needs is an affidavit that doesn't even directly indicate credible evidence. It can just state an opinion that there's evidence and that it's valid. Very weak. Of course that could be thrown out in a motion for summary judgment, but judges tend to wait until the discovery process.

Being sued means the defendant has to respond, because if they ignore it they can lose in a default settlement. CBS has a lot of money and they can easily afford the legal process. I doubt Trump's lawyers are capable of getting away with this bogus case. Most civil cases result in a settlement, but there's no way CBS will give Trump anything. He wasn't harmed. Trump harms himself.

Okay, please describe the "powers" of a Vice President in the United States. This poor, dumb Canadian thought that all executive power was vested in the President, and the Vice President doesn't even get a Senate vote unless there's a tie, is that not so? The VP presides over the Senate, but is not even a member of the Senate and so cannot even introduce a bill!

The Constitution names the Vice President of the United States as the president of the Senate. In addition to serving as presiding officer, the VP has the sole power to break a tie vote in the Senate and formally presides over the receiving and counting of electoral ballots cast in presidential elections. That's it -- that's all the Constitution says.
