Trump Supporters Threaten Congressman with Lynching

Maybe so, but either way, they should make every effort to find the person or persons who made the call.

They did find the guy who made threatening phone calls to Rep. Martha McSally here in AZ. http://www.azcentral.com/story/news...-threatening-arizona-congresswoman/324787001/

All of this is rather disturbing, actually. Are these just isolated occurrences, or are these harbingers of worse things to come?
I think it's just crazies being crazies. They absolutely should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. But, I think we are seeing it more now just because we've never seen the country so polarized. There are crazies who wish Trump and his allies dead. And, there are Trump crazies who wish all of his critics the same.

Fabricated in what way?
In the same way the rash of threats made against Jewish centers and synagogues was traced to a Jew, or the black man who burned down his church and made Trump graffiti, the whole "racism in wake of Trump" hoaxing that happened right after the election.

That isn't to imply or assume that this situation is the craft of some crazed leftists trying to show the truth through lies.

I hope the congressperson stays safe and that all parties involved in the production of such threats are found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Are these just isolated occurrences, or are these harbingers of worse things to come?
Unless there are some serious changes, harbingers of worse. We're coming to the point where we believe in sets of essential rights that are at times in opposition to each other. We're heading towards being torn apart.

I think this is relative enough I can put this here, instead of making another thread.

"Dem rep: Abuse, violence against the press 'hallmarks in Trump era'"

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) on Wednesday warned that physical violence against members of the press has become a trend under the Trump administration.

"Physical violence and abuse of media are hallmarks in Trump era. Disgusting. We need to call it out," Connolly wrote on Twitter.

"Montana Republican Congressional Candidate Allegedly Assaults Newspaper Reporter"

A reporter for The Guardian newspaper was "body slammed" to the floor Wednesday by Greg Gianforte, the Republican candidate in Thursday's special election for Montana's open U.S. House seat, the reporter and multiple witnesses said.

The reporter, Ben Jacobs, was covering an event in Bozeman and tweeted the encounter at about 7 p.m. ET.

There is no video of the incident but there is an audio:
