Hardly if you look at polls. What has happened is that Democratic gloom and doom have lifted and we fill hopeful and energized. There's a lot of hard work needed but there's energy and money now to do that work of saving the country from the authoritarian extreme right.

I do look at the polls but like others have said, a lot can happen between now and November. Who knows?

I simplify this to...

I'll add that a lot of people make a livelihood out of claiming to know especially if they guess right a few times. All it takes is one "black swan" or "grey rhino" event to upset everything. Biden leaving the race was to me one of those events (you can pick the animal)
The term black swan describes rare and unpredictable events that have a major impact. gray rhino describes highly probable, high-impact events that are ignored until they become an immediate threat.
Since "grey rhino" was new to me and I'll guess new to others, Covid19 and climate change are two "grey rhinos". I also would identify the rise of the national debt as one that will bite us in the butt sooner or later.

No! @Altfish is perfectly correct -- America is a mess because so many Americans are willing to let Trump getting away with almost everything. But this -- this is utterly appalling, beyond the pale, and every American who pledges allegiance to the flag and the republic for which it stands should shout him down.

I almost never agree with you on politics but I do here.
But of course there's a counter-argument that goes something like: God saved Donald Trump because a replacement would have been much worse, won the election and destroyed the country. Now thanks to God's intervention we'll have President Harris.

It's always a crap shoot.
The irksome part is going through all the shock inducing emotional drivin propaganda that has been put out by both sides like it's some car race or something by power hungry, extremely wealthy megalomaniacs trying their best to outdo and upstage each other in their country club political games of obtaining personal stature and prestige among others like them so they can brag and boast about how great they are among themselves.
Personally I prefer NASCAR , because it's a hell of a lot more fun to watch.
