Trump Will Legalize Marijuana After Midterms, Anthony Scaramucci Predicts
I've heard similar predictions from other sources.

Will Trump legalize it?
Is this good or bad.
I don't think he has the sense to do something this smart, but it would be great for the US. There is so much money being spent and not taxed at all. The marijuana industry is ready to blossom, providing jobs and capital for other investment in addition to tax revenue. And, legalization is not going to make marijuana easier to get. If anything it will be harder. I remember in high school, pot was a lot easier to get than alcohol. With alcohol you needed a fake ID. With pot, you just had to walk down the hallway.

Most are driven by ideology.
In this case it's about immorality of drugs, & using big government to impose it.

Immorality should have no part in this discussion, imho. Alcohol is far worse for you, and we have all seen 1st hand that marijuana prohibition does no good. But, what do you mean by "big government imposing it"?

He'll do whatever is good for him. In this case I suspect it would be bad for him, so no, I expect not.

I largely agree about the morality.
The "big government" part is that the fed has over-reached its constitutional authority IMO.
At the very least, making it illegal on the federal level is aggressive.

He can't legalize it. He'd lose the evangelical base. But then again, their moral compass isn't the most reliable.

Trump needs to do things to expand his base if he's to have any chance at all in 2020. As it stands, he doesn't have enough support to win. So maybe he knows that, and maybe this is one of the early signs he's trying to expand his base.
