https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DURHaJgV4AA91RS.jpg:large I am scared. I am disabled on Medicaid and unable to work full time. I have been having nightmares about conservatives putting me in an institution or something. How can I peacefully resist this attack on healthcare rights?
I feel for your predicament, the same sort of thing is happening in the uk, NHS health care is under constant attack and funding cutbacks leaving joe public in dire straits. Right wing government does not seem to care about its voters but rather panders to those it can profit from.
I am a brit who lives in france but my brother in law lives in the uk, he has a mental disability and is in a similar boat to you. Unsure if he's going to get the care he needs (that he has paid for during his working life) or simply thrown on the scrap heap to fend for himself. Also my patents are getting to the age that care is on he horizon and i fear for their future under the current government.
One option is for you is to take out a private health insurance but perhaps prohibitive given your work status and pre-existing condition.
Another is leaving the country and moving to somewhere with a more understanding outlook to pre existing medical conditions.
Third and probably most viable is wait it out, hopefully the American voters make a better choice next time.
Sorry, i can see no other ways.
