Making high profile enemies in the military is such a dumb idea, putting them on the unemployment list potentially just opens them up to selling military secrets to foreign actors in my view.

But I doubt Trump thinks of consequences of his actions.

My hope is that this kind of move will force the generals to fight back right away.

There is no logical reason I can think of why the resident should be choosing our military generals. If they were simply to ignore his meddling as unconstitutional over-reach, what could he do? I hope we see the leaders of these essential institutions (CIA, DOD, Pentagon, etc.) simply refuse to comply with his idiotic "takeover" strategy.

You want to know how many generals the military has? Literally hundreds of them, and even then I would think the vast majority of generals would not go turn coat no matter what happens to them.

I agree. These are not the kind of people that will sell secret documents to foreign powers just because they got fired from a job. Trump would do it, of course, but our military generals would not.

With that many to choose from, a promise of money
& power in exchange for loyalty could corrupt a few.

As we saw with JD Vance (a military man). He's willing to
support Hitler if he gets to be Vice President under him.

Even when I was in I saw the changes with my own eyes. It was nothing like the time my uncles and grandfather's served in.
