Not familiar with that website but it seems fairly skewed.
Do you have another reference on the poll?
And yeah...I'm being lazy. Sorry!!

Politicus is a Progressive website. It's strong on opinion, but I've found their opinions are backed up by fact.

Astute readers of the OP will notice that the source for the Politicus article is actually linked to in the Politicus article. Amazing, no?

Here's the link just for you, Dave. Investor's Business Daily

And yeah...I'm being lazy. Sorry!!

ROFL! You think so? :D

Just teasing.

538 is reporting the same thing. It's sad that so many believe promises by politicians who are, at heart, salesmen and woman. And part of it was the inchoate understanding that things are messed up and need to change and falling for a demagogue.

It Aint Necessarily So

32% of the IBD/TIPP poll matches the Quinnipiac poll which puts him at 33%.

This site gives a weighted average of multiple polls (sources and methods in the link). Presently, it's got Trump's approval rating at 36.9.

The various polls are a bit like an assortment of bathroom scales. One may show you at 172 lbs, another at 175 lbs, and another at 176 lbs - roughly similar numbers that vary slightly and leave you wondering what you really weigh.

But if you gain or lose 5 lbs, each will generally reflect the same change in the same direction, meaning that the trending is more reliable than the absolute numbers.

What surprises me is that he had any significant support to begin with.

There is still nothing resembling an explanation for that. Mistrust of traditional politicians only carries one so far.

He never really had support; it was a partisan vote and Trump was the rallying point, pure and simple. Then people that voted for him had to rationalize that action which resulted in a lot of denial. As we move further away from the election and Trump continues to prove his incompetence that disillusionment is waning. However, just because it is waning now does not mean it will not return.

I am well aware of that site, I rather look at the polls individually. That site is still using some outdated polls, it does not update its information fast enough.

I bolded what I see as the most important part of your statement and after poking around that site I would have agreed with your statement %100 if you would have stated that it's "strong on opinion but their opinions have some grain of truth in them" almost as if it were a television play that was preceded by the disclaimer "this movie was loosely based on true events". Overall the entire site seems to fall very easily into the category of gray propaganda which is the most insidious kind, fortunately for the readers their subtlety is akin to a flying mallet.

It's easy to make any claims about them that you want to when you yourself don't back your claims up with specific facts. They at least back their claims up with facts.

Are these the same pollsters that said Clinton was going to win the election?

Why don't you Google it and find out? While you are at it you can look at who won the popular vote by 3 million votes.

Even if the current rating polls are wildly off Trump is still doing bad.
