Trump's expression of concern for victims of the Mexico quake

It might not've been clear that I was referring to non-cromulent
partisan fueled criticism of Obama.....defending him after a fashion.
That might'a caught a few posters off guard.

Mexico....when isn't something going terribly wrong there?

There are two 'M's in 'crommulent', peasant.

My spidersense told me that you'd object.

But for those of us who visit diverse news sources,
we can see myopic partisanship directed towards
both Presidents. Echo chambers don't offer that.
Be sure to alert me if Trump ever demonstrates any humans qualities of compassion and decency especially toward Mexicans.

Some people care about a President's personal qualities.
Others care about how the country is run.
I'm in the latter camp.
But neither of us should be overjoyed.

Only one of us helped to put Trump in the White House, and it wasn't me.

He isn't an isolationist by any stretch.
But I don't care what he doesn't say about Mexico.
It's bad enuf when he does say something.

Let's make this clear. It's not the act of saying or not saying anything to Mexico.

It is the act of expressing compassion to those in their time of need. This is what leaders in a community broader than their own have to do, IMO.

We comfort others in their time of need, like we do here in RF. It doesn't matter who they are, what their religion is, what side of the political swing they are on.

By no means, is it mandatory but I think it's the right ethical thing to do.

It's just not a quality I look for in a President.

Both?
Go for it!
I ask for less.....just responsible spending & taxation....civil liberties....less war.

Let me throw out an extreme scenario...

You're fine if we a had serial killer or a rapist running the country as long as they do a good job?

Sounds like an absurd proposition to ask but do you draw the line somewhere?

So there's no personal character requirement for the president?

I can answer that one for him. Watch:

If you have to go to the extreme of rapist to put fault in his argument, there isn't one. You seem to support Hillary. Would you support her if she was a teenage lesbian Nazi prostitute who kidnapped orphans and forced them into fat camps? No? Then she has no value.

[ I didn't hear one either. ]
I believe this is because he's used up his Fifteen False Expressions of Concern for Others for the week. Give him another few days during which time his White House handlers will have a chance to remind of the image he's supposed to be cultivating.

Concern for anyone but himself doesn't come easy for Donny, so try to be understanding. Okay?

I've already said that the person needs personal character to be the president.

So no, I would not have voted for Hillary if she was a Nazi even if she was hypothetically well qualified to be president.

He seems to be asserting that only job qualification is needed for presidency as opposed to any personal character. But we should really let him speak for himself. :)

The problem is @Revoltingest and I go way back, and I don't think he's obfuscating. It has been my experience that he means it when he acts like a jer..... when he says something. He probably has a limit, like rapist, but he also is willing to put up with some bad behavior for good governance. I'm with you, I think he picked the wrong horse here. I was just saying what I know he would have said.

I have much respect for this jer...

But I like to debate. :) I don't think we're making any of this personal.
