I listened to some of the press conference. Some questions got exact answers. Some such as oxygen got a weasel-worded statement. The question was about oxygen being given at any time and the answer was about him not being on oxygen currently leaving the obvious conclusion that he did have O2 at the White House, perhaps just before he walked to the chopper.
To me the combination of exact facts on some questions and avoiding others is like holding up a sign saying "pay very close attention to what I'm saying and what I'm not saying - there's an unsaid message here".
Part of that message comes indirectly from Trump. There's apparently been only one tweet from him since he got to the hospital and that to me is very significant.
Given the steady stream of lies that come from this administration, I'm only going to believe what's obvious to all - that he's in the hospital, that he is sick and that he's not his usual twitter self.
White House triggers new questions about Trump’s coronavirus case
While Trump’s physician painted a rosy portrait on camera, the White House indicated the president’s vitals had been “very concerning over the last 24 hours.”
The baffling back-and-forth began Saturday morning when Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Conley, briefed the press outside Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where the president has been since Friday night. Conley proclaimed Trump was “doing very well,” that his fever had subsided, that his symptoms were improving and that he wasn’t receiving supplemental oxygen.
But only minutes after Conley left the microphone, the White House press pool reporter conveyed a statement from “a source familiar with the president’s health” that appeared to directly contradict the rosy portrait. “The president’s vitals over the last 24 hours were very concerning and the next 48 hours will be critical in terms of his care,” the statement said. “We’re still not on a clear path to a full recovery.” The remark came shortly after cameras caught White House chief of staff Mark Meadows asking to speak with a handful of reporters away from the cameras.
