No, it was actually during the event. He started with statements about stolen elections, the usual and then made wimpy statements about being peaceful and going home. Definitely not a strong message to back off from what he knew was happening.
Thank you. I am sure I have seen that one too. I was just wondering if this was a recent statement he made.

Surely one of the more interesting questions about this is, "how on earth did Jack Smith convince not one but two grand juries that there was sufficient evidence to indict Trump for his actions (and inactions) on January 6, 2021?" This must, one would think, point to a pretty robust pile of evidence -- perhaps even enough to put Trump away....

...unless, of course, Americans elect him again to the highest office in the land and he directs (with permission, due to immunity, from his own loaded Supreme Court) his AG to drop all charges.

In that case, we hope that a) he survives his second term, and b) fails to become a dictator. Since he was only accused and never convicted, he can't pardon himself and the case can be brought again without being double jeopardy.
