His name was Alan Kurdi. He was three years old. His family was from Syria, and they were refugees trying to escape the crap that ISIS was doing in that part of the world. Alan, his older brother, mom and dad got into a small boat trying to make it to the Greek island of Kos. From there they were going to travel to Canada to live with family.
The boat capsized and his father struggled to keep both of his sons afloat. After a while he realized that his sons were dead and he let them go. His wife also perished at sea.
