Try that BeliefNet in Quizzes. could give food for thought...

You bet! Every time I've done that quiz I've got a slightly different answer. Usually I am either 100% Orthodox Quaker, Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox.

Well, I did it again this morning and I don't know if they've revamped it from last year but WOW I got a shock:

Hinduism
You have Hinduism beliefs (100%)

Roman Catholic (92%)

Conservative Christian/Protestant (87%)

Seventh Day Adventist (83%)

Eastern Orthodox (81%)

Orthodox Quaker (79%)

Liberal Quaker (67%)

Orthodox Judaism (61%)

WTF!? :jester3:

That is the first time I have ever got 100% Hindu with Roman Catholic second place.

I don't NEED a religion, but I do WANT one, because I want something to believe in, I don't want to just be religion-less. Not that there's anything wrong with not having one. I don't know quite how to explain it. I just know there's a religion out there that's right for me.

i think you can't force yourself to choose a religion while you know nothing about it, i think your best way is to submit your creator, you see how people gave you different opinions, every one looks at it differently, only the god who could help you in the right way, you stated you believe in him so refuge to him and ask him for help and insist on your calling

good luck

I was raised Christian, by both of my divorced parents, and around the time I was 16, I started losing faith in Christian beliefs and ideals. Alot of it I blame on my father, but it might have happened regardless. Once I turned 18 and moved back in with my mother, I stopped believing in Christianity almost completely. I've been trying to find my way since, and a friend I met online, and who has become like a sister to me, said I was eclectic. Well, I recently decided to not just be eclectic anymore, I wanted to find the right religion for me. So, I've made up a list of things I believe in, and though it is not finished, it should help me get on the right track for what I want to accomplish.

I would only suggest trying to find the right religion from God's viewpoint. Our personal ideas are virtually guaranteed to be wrong and many times, harmful to ourselves and others. False religious beliefs are largely responsible for the bloodshed and misery that fills the earth, IMO.
