Turkey Refuses To Give US Permission to Use Air Bases To Attack ISIS

Or it could be that ISIS is holding Turkish captives taken from their Iraqi Consulate.

But there is no surprise there. Turkey wouldn't let America station troops for invading Iraq. Had they become a radical Islamic state 12 years ago, too?

Jeez, by your standards, I'm a radical Islamic state.

It is strange behavior for a member of NATO to take. It does make one wonder whose side Turkey is on.

Keep in mind Turkey has been dealing with Kurdish factions for decades and the current raise of religious conservationism vs liberalism. The government is in a bad position in which tipping the scales to far in one could be worse than just denying support for all involved. Like all nations Turkey is putting it's own internal issues first. I can not really blame them for doing so

That's because Turkey sucks as a US ally.

They have become and Islamic extremist state.

The US has been an extremist fascist state - now (thankfully) we are closer to an imperialistic fanaticism.

Turkey has absolutely taken a turn for the worse away from a nationalist "Ataturk" and at least a pretext of secular and republican government to instead recently putting into power ever more Islamo-Fascist politicians who focus and are ever becoming toadies of the Khalifat politicized Islamic cult. They are almost as ready to tip over to the dark side as is now Pakistan which is essentially becoming a mental case of Mugabe types of the "Arab" world instead of Africa, but the joke is Turks and Paks are not Arab.

Turks here in the US fleeing from these mental cases and now trying to make a go at life here as barbers and shop keepers are horrified at what Turkey is now leaning towards.

Just tonight there was a very interesting special on a radio current events program on the recent radicalization of Turkey. But mostly among the current politicos there. Very sad, and a betrayal of Turkey.

I think Turkey is doing the right thing, what happens when the American move out, Turkey will have to deal with the aftermath.
