Two socks or One sock, one shoe?

Do you put on both socks before you put on your shoes? Do you do that because you were told if there was a fire and you had to run out of the house at least both feet would have something on them?

Perhaps it is one complete foot for you - a sock and the the shoe?

Ladies - I don't want to hear about panty hose which is normally both feet at the same time. But, if you do put a shoe on before putting the other leg in the panty hose we all want to hear about that.

I'm a more one sock, one shoe type person. I go for the complete foot. I think it's because my foot is already resting on the opposite leg, and it's just wasting movement to put it down and replace it with the other, only to go through that once more. I also have a thing about having dirty socks in shoes, so I like to keep my socked foot off of the ground before I put my shoe on. I'm a little weird, I guess... ( :

I do socks on the knee too!!!!! But the complete foot is completed on the floor when I tie them. One foot at a time. It's kinda a short dance - knee - floor - knee - floor. Sometimes I untie the shoes and spread the sides before I get to the sock.

For me is both socks, walk around the room, look for something I am forgetting, then put on the shoes before I leave. I guess I don't want to get the floor dirty

This is amazing!! I promise that I am telling you the truth, when I say I almost started this exact thread yesterday!! The guys I grew up with all used to argue this when we were getting ready to play basketball games. I was thinking that it would be neat to see what the majority would say about this. I mean, we would be getting dressed for a game, and we would be Arguing (with a capital A) - not debating, but ridiculing each other for disagreeing. Nobody would get mad, but everyone would take their little shots at the guys on the other side of the argument. :bonk:

For me, I do one sock and shoe on the same foot at a time, then do the other sock and shoe. My reason is this - my knees are in bad shape (heck, my whole body is falling apart), and for me, it is one less time I have to bend each knee that day. Sound logic, to be sure - and anyone that disagrees with me is WRONG. :)

Okay, I'll get down off my soapbox now, and listen to the heretics and fools from the other side of the aisle. :sarcastic

Well shod,

On a side note, it is a well known fact (in my church) that Tristan himself always put on one sock and one shoe at a time. He spoke ill of those that did the devil's work by putting on both socks and then both shoes. Come to think of it, I believe he put a curse on those nonbelievers...

A most righteous,

PS - I'll try to find some scripture on it. Should be something in the Mediocre Book about it.

Both socks, then stand up, and slip feet into shoes (I don't believe in shoelaces).

My floors are always cold in the morning, so I put both socks on first, then shoes before I leave. Hey Engyo! I agree, shoelaces are the work of the devil!

One sock at a time- but I must confess, I do enjoy the challenge of jumping into my underwear with both feet.

Your body deserves to fail.... you deceiver!

You are hereby excommunicated. May Hush Puppy have mercy on your soul.

Scott -
I guess it was inevitable that I would be cast into the desert. :( I should have known better. The Hush Puppy lawyers have already contacted the Nike lawyers - it looks like there will be no endorsement there, either.

By the way, if I were the Pope, I'd have someone put my shoes and socks on for me (especially at JP II's age).

"Here's your little brown cowboy pants, put em on!"

"Here's your little brown cowboy shirt, put it on!"

"Here's your little brown shoes, can you tie them yourself?"
"Get into the car! We're gone"
Sorry, I just couldn't resist a little Randy Newman here. (hehehe):biglaugh:

I get distracted really easily sometimes, so I put both socks on first before my shoes. That way, if something shiny catches my eye, I don't have the risk of being off-balance as I run after it.

Blashphemers!! Chant the mantra with me now:
Foot Up -
Sock, Shoe
Foot Down

Foot Up -
Sock, Shoe
Foot Down

Foot Up -
Sock, Shoe
Foot Down

Foot Up -
Sock, Shoe
Foot Down

Know ye all - I'm praying for your soles.
