Well, unless Mike needs the 20 million, I think it's not smart to fight, unless you think you can win. In that case, Mike being smart & not needing money, Mike thinks he has a chance (or is convinced) to win.

Mike, being the expert, I trust, hence Mike wins

And what about Paul?
Well, what does he have to lose?
He get 40 million dollar, and loses maybe 1 ear
So, Paul definitely "wins"

AND

Paul said, he would not mind to lose an ear (source: a Dutch newspaper...could be fake news, I didn't fact check)

I played badminton, but now, 30 years later, I know I have lost all my skills

Maybe it's very different with boxing though
I really hope Mike knows what he is doing
