But the Republican Trumpettes simply do care about our representative democracy and the simple fact that Trump & Co tried to end it. If successful, we would now either have a Trump dictatorship or a Republican oligarchy.

Thankfully there are still some honest Republicans. Just think what a mess we would be in if the mostly Republican poll workers in Pennsylvania, Georgia, etc. were as dishonest as Trump.

Exactly, and many prominent former Pubs have left the party, such as George Will, Steve Schmidt, etc. There are also others that have remained in the party but strongly condemn the BIG LIE and Trump & Co.
It's the MAGA way - ignore serious crimes, insurrection and death threats from the MAGA tribe and trumpet a minor peccadillo from the media.
