WASHINGTON — The Obama administration struck back at Russia on Thursday for its efforts to influence the 2016 election, ejecting 35 Russian intelligence operatives from the United States and imposing sanctions on Russia’s two leading intelligence services, including four top officers of the military intelligence unit the White House believes ordered the attacks on the Democratic National Committee and other political organizations.

Russia played dirty politics and meddled in U.S. business.
Again so what else is new?
I doubt it's Trumps fault.

If so it's understandable. Half the voters are always going to be
at least disappointed.

Somehow the T/P voters outnumbered the "other guys".
That happens in elections from time to time.
Yet, somehow, we and the rest of the nation survive.
I'll confess I'm not wild about T/P either but so it goes.
In my old man opinion those "others" were a worse choice.
That's OPINION thus not up for debate.
You know what opinions are compared with and everyone has one.

Yeah I get that but another point of view is having good, solid, friendly,
co-operative, relations with Russia isn't a bad idea.
By the by. I have plenty of relatives in Russia.
My maternal grandfather was from Russia but that was long ago.
Just before the revolution in fact.
Healthy trade, diplomacy, mutual respect, have always been good
reasons NOT to go to war.

A serious number of voters are o.k. with that.

If Hillary had won I'd not be THAT upset.

It's been a pretty ****ty idea when it comes to Saudi Arabia, and see no reason to expect a relation with Russia to be anything different: An embarrassment that nobody wants because nobody wants to be associated with and supporting dictators just so a handful of people can reap bountiful harvests over the relationships. If a nation does not acknowledge certain basic rights, we should not be allies with them.

Do you remember 2008?
When years of the Bush administration plus a Republican Capitol Hill gave us astronomical federal deficits and debt? Wars that were unwinnable? An economy in shambles, the real estate market crashing and the unemployment rates through the roof.

Now we have President Trump who has never demonstrated competence at anything but media manipulation. He claims to be a businessman, but the only thing he offered as evidence was his tax returns. Which he was lying about. Other than that, all we have to go on are the records from his bankruptcies and the lawsuit against Trump University.
And his habit of attacking people on Twitter. There is that I suppose. Proof that he is the Peace Candidate. He only attacks the weak and unimportant.
And his Russian connections. That seems to be his big asset now.
