Er... there is! Currently on page 9....
Page 9 would be why I didn't see it immediately, but I did a search on "UK election" and didn't see it there either...

Sorry for the duplicate, perhaps one of the staff can merge...?

Genocide Joe has got to go.
Dems better jump on selecting an electable alternative.
Respectfully disagree. I can't see how that is even remotely possible. Just getting the name recognition, without some new candidate who didn't go through primaries, would be impossible. That's a guaranteed Trump win.

Don't think he's standing in the UK..... is he?....... perhaps he thinks he is......?

Oh Mr Starmer certainly knows how to make friends.
Can't say I'm very enthusiastic about the Labour offering, on paper anyway (Political Compass says I'm way to the left of them and much more libertarian). That said, and with our undemocratic FPTP voting system, a Labour government will always be better than a Tory one - especially this one.

That is precisely our options. Who is the least bad.
Indeed.

Mind you the tactical voting site:

says "Vote with your heart" in my constituency because polling suggested that Labour will walk it. Not sure I'll risk it, though. Rather alarmingly, Reform UK is polling in second place. God help us all if Nasty Nigel gets anywhere near power....

We need to bin the First Past the Post system, it is so unfair. I've been voting for about 50 years in General Elections and until now my vote has never counted, I've lost every time.
Now, there is a chance that it'll go to Labour ... I'm not holding my breath though.

Quite right. The first time my vote actually counted for anything (there was any doubt at all about the result) was this year's West Midlands mayoral election, where I helped vote out the Tory. :)

No specific thread for this election!? A bit late, but I'll start one.

Wow moment of the day (if not the week, or election so far):

Sunday Times newspaper endorses Labour Party - BBC News

The Tories have forfeited the right to govern. Over to Labour - The Sunday Times (web archive)
The country is broke. Both Labour will win but it will be a disappointment (as would a Conservative victory). The Institute of Fiscal studies summarised both manifesto's .Absolute Rubbish re financial stability.
Conservatives are suppose to be for the rich and business.
Labour is suppose to be for the poor and welfare.
After Blair there is no difference.
Sunak would make a good opposition leader. He is the best technically and has International respect. However he is toast.Political parties never select the best candidate.

Labour will win.Expect to be disappointed.
