Some Kind of Strange

Heh, yes, I probably should have said that to begin with.

Nanda doesn't sound Japanese, though. So I was thinking it would be in Katakana. But I don't know. I've only just started learning this stuff.

Nanda

Polyanna
Well, as I have it there, it would be pronounced "non-da" (as opposed to how I pronounce it, which would rhyme with "panda"), which I believe basically translates as "what" in Japanese. However, it is an asian name, though a male one. If I'm not mistaken, Nanda was the first Buddhist, the half-brother to Siddhārtha Gautama. I have another avatar in Chinese that represents this version of Nanda.

However, as interesting as all that is, the reason I'm called Nanda is because when my youngest brother was a toddler, he couldn't pronounce "Amanda." ;)
