Unfulfilled Prophecies in the Bible

See 2 Peter 3:8. It says that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Adam lived for 930 years. So he actually did die within a day. No contradiction. Satan lied to Eve becaue she and Adam died just as God said. We as their offspring continue to suffer the ramifications associated with their sin. Don't fail to recognize that as soon as Adam and Eve sinned, Jehovah immediately put a plan in place to redeem humankind (See Genesis 3:15). He is working out that plan now through the establishment of his Kingdom.

"Six days shalt thou labour and thou shalt rest on the seventh".
Does this mean that we have to work for 6000 years and then we get a thousand years off?

If a day is an era or a thousand years, then much of the Old Testament becomes chaotic. For example, in each of the following verses the same Hebrew word “yom” is employed: “And the flood was forty days upon the earth” (Genesis 7: 1 7) (or 40,000 years if you want it your way).

“And he [Moses] was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights” (Exodus 34:28),(another 40,000 years.

“Thus I fell down before the Lord forty days and forty nights...” (Deuteronomy 9:25), (or I fell down before the lord for 40,000 years).

If “yom” means era instead of a 24-hour period, Moses was “there with the Lord” for a VERY long time.

very true Genesis3;15 is what it is all about . the outworking of Gods purpose is now well along as you and many others are aware.
