Unisex restrooms

I am probably no longer acclimated, but where I went to university we had a sauna in a gym I used to go to all of the time. We were always messing with the thermostat because it only went to 180 unless you wrapped it in cold wet paper towels. And that is so weird because on hot summer day it would be unbearable outside at 90, but the sauna felt cold if it was not at least that 180 temperature.
That's pretty cool!

There's a popular restaurant where I live that has a common sink area but separated stalls for men and women. You walk in on the right for women, on the left for men, and then on to the separated stalls.

Here's the funny thing, though - the sink looks like it's backed by a mirror, but it's not - the other side is the men's sink. But not knowing that, the first time I walked in and no one was on the other side of the sink at the time, I wasn't paying attention to the sink, so it wasn't until I was washing my hands that I looked up and realized it wasn't me looking back at me. :tearsofjoy:

It's kind of unique, for the U.S., anyway, at least I haven't seen anything like it before. I don't think it's keeping patrons away, the place is always busy. And now I know what to expect. :)

Here's a photo (I didn't take it)

Oaky, this is going to sound made up, but feel like I've been in this washroom before. Or one almost exactly like it. And I had almost the exact same experience. I thought maybe I had fallen asleep and I was in a weird dream or something lol

Once or twice, as I recall. One time I was at a rest area in Oklahoma, and there were a few men in the restroom, and then this woman came out of one of the stalls and was surprised and embarrassed that she was in the men's room. It was an honest mistake. She quickly exited and a few of the men in there just chuckled.
LOL I've done that. :grimacing:

During events at arenas I have heard of women that looked at the long lines out of the women's restrooms and the lack of lines for the men and they said "Screw that!. I am going in!"

I think the main objection was that men felt the need to wash their hands after just urinating.

the issue of same-sex restrooms is a complex one, with valid concerns on both sides of the argument. While privacy and safety concerns need to be acknowledged, it is essential to find a balance that promotes inclusivity and respects the diverse needs of individuals. By implementing thoughtful policies, providing education, and engaging in open dialogue, we can work towards creating restroom facilities that are welcoming and accommodating for all individuals, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
Say I am human with human DNA, but I relate as a dog, since I get along better with dogs than with people. Would culture allow me to pee on trees, if I lift one leg up, like all the other male dogs? Or would I still have to use the human restrooms based on my human DNA?

Do I get an exemption from human protocol, with everyone else required to accommodate me? This, I am different than my DNA, can be used to game the system. DNA is objective, but fetishes are subjective and easy to bluff for attention and special considerations.

Transgender is a sinister form of sterilization. The population police have toyed with many ways to limit population growth, such as selective abortion of birth defective unborn. They have also toyed with the idea of forced sterilization of people; criminals, to keep down population. These were all shot down due to being cruel. However, the population police have found a way to get people to self sterilize, so they are not technically at fault. This is why abortion gets a hysterical as transgender; deep inner doubt below the programming.

I was a Liberal from the 1970's; teen years, and over population was a major concern even back then. This led to countries like Japan and China limiting births and pushing birth control and abortion. It also led to more female unborn babies killed since a male child had more advantages. This direct approach was tried in the USA but never got traction. Instead, they found a work around and have succeeded in promoting self sterilization, since transgender and sex reassignment messes up the works. It is even given prestige to make it appealing.

I never was bothered by overpopulation since science and technology would get more efficient. If anything medical and food science helped the third world, add way more people to the world population. There were 3.6 billion people on earth in 1970 and now we have 8.1 billion. Those population nuts from my generation are older and even more nervous. But luckily, global warming will open new land, allow more rain and increase the growing season.
