USA provided Taliban with military equipment worth 85 billion dollar

For sure not to solve this mess, but giving 85 billion worth of military to the Taliban is definitely not a 'happy ending'
I doubt they have user manuals and the ability to maintain the equipment. The Taliban might even blow themselves up tying to make things work. And at this point once the US is out they will have only ISIS to fight, so maybe not too bad a thing.w

So the expectations of Biden being perfect and godlike in solving America's longest war in a nation that even Russia got its *** kicked in were unfounded?
Russia didn't get its *** kicked. The terrorists were losing until they were supplied with upgraded arms to fight the Russians.

They pretty got their *** kicked. It was a meat grinder, like Russia's Vietnam. And the people were less and less patient about why their kids were being killed in a war in Afghanistan. So they withdrew. And with not as far to go home.

Since you're qualified to judge Biden perhaps you can use your expertise and explain what you would have done better.
You don't have to be qualified nor an expert to see the best course of action would be to maintain a permanent presence in Afghanistan.

Just like we have done with axis countries after ww2 of which we had gotten a good result over the decades.

There are more than a few of them, so my guess is, that there are always a few who are smart enough to figure it out; one need not be an inventor to understand who this stuff works, esp. as those seem to like fighting. You are very optimistic, I am not, I would not be surprised if many foreigners and Afghans will die in the coming month, and not a peaceful death. But I hope you are right, time will tell pretty soon

No. The USSR and in particular the 40th army were winning until the Mujahideen were provided with shoulder mounted stinger missiles and trained on how to use them, alongside active engagements via UK SAS .

Without effective air superiority, things only then started to change in favor of the Mujahideen and later the pullout under Gorbachev.

Well we are both guessing here. Much of the equipment belonged to the Afghan army. What could the US do when the afghans ran away? You tell me what you would do to get that equipment out.

That's what happens when you are an aggressor on foreign soil and your body count goes up, and the people protest. The Soviets could have pulled the same strategy that won them WW2. But the people weren't for it.
