Godhood could be the pinnacle of arrogance. Spirituality has the goal of equality with love, joy, and peace.
The main precept is to lift up the virtuous and to make equal all in virtue so that superiority is not a forever state of affairs. The world of competing interests, and exploiting others for independent financial gains goes extremely contrary to my precept.
The world needs to produce according to need and according to charity so that the pace of life slows down and people gain a moral perspective on their existence. Technology would enable humanity to provide for people, and stop the cancer of neverending growth of the kind that burns up the Earth's resources. Capitalism in a smaller context is ok. Yet if humanity doesn't learn to cooperate, and share wealth and education while balancing work with sufficient reward humans will die out faster.
It's only some major religions that sew division, violence and discord. Humanity needs general agreement on core values to offset the total differences we all have in choices of lifestyle.
People should be able to govern themselves however they wish if their general core values are right. Without moral grounding people will also destroy themselves. So with general core values in agreement people can live their different truths as they see fit, if they don't ignore facts of existence.
Human nature has not proven itself to be anything charitable. It's like a predator that only wants more and doesn't know when enough is enough, and to turn their attention to more important matters. Money only represents production value, and strategic gainfulness. There needs to be a safety net or neverending greed and growth will end us all.
Charity not greed, must start with institutions and systems of power. Democracy, and capitalism have been the best systems so far. They need an offsetting system with cooperation being the main cog. So that's my precept. I'm not optimistic.
