User CP Frubals...

I was just wondering if most of you go to your User CP to see who gave you frubals and to read the messages they leave with the frubals. I mean, you can just see by your name that you've gotten more frubals, but if you don't read your User CP, you won't know who gave them to you and what they had to say about it...

I know I often leave emoticons in my frubal messages, such as these:

:giraffe: :snoopy: :laundry: :flower2: :tribal: :D :band: :frog:

It would be a shame if you didn't check your CP and missed them... So everyone check your user CP to read your frubal messages.

Actually it is my start. I go to the usergroups through the CP, so I check frubals first, then usergroups. Then I check the "my replys" link to see if I have somebody talking to me in one of my threads. And only then do I go for "active topics" :p

Edit: Ooh, if I have private messages, they go before all the rest.. Yeah people, you're special!!

Yes I always check the user CP to see who left me frubals...not that I get many...nobody loves me!!! :sad4:

The first thing I do is check private messages though (on the rare occassion I get those...a PM is very special for me...:rolleyes:) and then My replies and My topics before just generally browsing!

Yeah, but I admit it was a long time before I realised what frubals were and how to check them. When I first joined it was all about the conversations.

I always made a habit of signing off my frubals with my name. Still do, even when the name pops up anyway (except when RF occasionally sends my frubals before I finish typing). If I give frubals to someone, I want the person to have an idea why I gave the frubals.

I always read frubal messages. If someone types the message, then I don't see it as overly onerous for me to read it (and the person obviously wants to communicate with me in this way).

In regards to giving frubals. Of late, most of the time I can write a bit of text and put in smilie, but sometimes the frubal field simply doesn't allow me to type anything and I can only click on Send or whatever. Anyone else find this happens sometimes?

I didn't know how to check the frubals for a while either. I was very egscited when I learned how to. :D It's always good to see who gave you frubals and why.

It doesn't ever happen to me. I can always write stuff. Right now I've given out "too many" frubals in the last 24 hours though... so that sucks... I was in a frubal-giving mood.

I've never figured out how to use emoticons in a frubal message. If I gave you frubals for explaining it to me, would you mind helping me out?

You need to type the emoticon as text. :biglaugh: is ;biglaugh;, for example (; replaced with : )

EDIT: Place your cursor over smiley you like, and it will show you the text of the smiley, or alternatively, you can find the text from the smiley list.

Frubals are what someone can give you if they like a post you posted. They add up, so if you have a lot of frubals, one may assume you post things people like or agree with. To give frubals click on the little scales-sign on the top right of the post you want to give frubals to. To see who has given you frubals click on the User CP tab in the upper left of your screen. :D

The more frubals you give/get, the more the frubals you give are worth.
