why is so hard to see life as a random event
does chaos take away the specialness of this experience?
there is no why. life is. be. live for the moment cause at the end of the day
that's all that matters. how honest you are with yourself, how you
value integrity and your truth. which makes others people's truth that much more
important and valuable to you.

Good question MM. The why is something that nobody in the world has been able to provide a satisfactory answer to me. There's no version of reality concocted by man that I've heard or read about that makes me glad.

Hello MuslimModesty

I/we are here from the will of God. Everything is an experience and expression of that purpose. I am made from God, I am supported by God and will return to God. God experiences his creation through us, God knows us and through us God knows the world as we know it, but limited to our time and space. The purpose is to live until God wills that we are no longer.

Knowing this means that there is no reason to give up or feel that life has no purpose. Nor do I need to regret giving when it means I have nothing for myself as even that is for God; for He taketh and He giveth.

Each and everyone of us ( in some point in our lives) ask ourselves, “What’s the Purpose of Life”?. “Why are we here”? …We wonder and wonder about what’s going to happen when we stop breathing. No matter what the case is, either in a horrifying situation and or in astonishing joyful moments in our lives. Let it be a split second curiousness. However, we still feel the need to know the Purpose of Life.

So why dont we all share our own perspectives to Why We Are Here!:grill:
Really if you think about it long and hard like I did you come to realize, there is no purpose for this existence. We have to make a reason, it doesn't just present itself to us.

A craven fear of insignificance and of helplessness at the hands of Nature leads to the invention of gods, who then return the favor by declaring us important and loved, and invent tasks for us so we can feel we have an ultimate purpose.

In Islam, there are two views of suffering, both of which resemble views held by its sister faiths, Judaism and Christianity. Suffering is either the painful result of sin, or it is a test. Suffering is built into the fabric of existence so that God may see who is truly righteous. In other words, God not only allows the various agonies and struggles of life, but has a purpose for them. Suffering opens up the soul and reveals it to God. God uses suffering to look within humans and test their characters, and correct the unbelievers.

This is a convenient excuse for doing nothing about suffering, isn't it?

And, of course, that is exactly what one sees in muslim societies: poverty, disease, corruption, every kind of cruelty, inability to cope with natural disasters. Why are muslims being tested so much more than everyone else?

I think this is just a scam to empower tyrants in the muslim world, both religious and government authorities.

This is what one sees in a Muslim society when one has a grossly misinformed view.

I am here because I want to be. Life still excites me, inspires me, gives me joy, gives me challenges, and gives me love.

Most of you have two eyes, two hands, and two feet.

You can view your immediate surroundings.
When you desire to....your feet take you to other surroundings.
You have hands to manipulate whatever you find...when you get there.

You know a tool by it's design.
Your body is a learning device.
There is no mystery to life and living.

All five senses...each in it's own way...deliver to your spirit,
some portion of this reality.

You are here to learn all that you can before you die.

Then you go back to God.

Good luck finding your way back.

And what evidence do you have to support this?

Fundamentally, I'm here to love my Gwynnies. So what am i doing here? Expressing the "god/not-god" duality with the words of not being. :D

Yes, there are no gods in the mirror. Or meanings. Just a body.

.....with five senses and the ability to move about.

And your body is your own creation?....your own handiwork?
And the design does something else...or more than....
exposing your spirit to this life and living?

The bible tells us we were all created to potentially share the unlimited universe with God for all eternity!

The problem here is that you're claiming we have a body (granted), and then claiming all sorts of extra information along with it including gods, purpose, spirit, learning device, etc.

When asked for evidence for your conclusion, you merely point to the body rather than proving evidence of the far more specific conclusion that links the body to all the other things you claim.
