That death will be the loss of cognizance,
I sadden somewhat, but fear, not so much.
Perhaps there will be higher levels ?
I will be content with the memories I leave to others.

Are you afraid of death?
Afraid, no. Do I want to die? No. There are so many things in which I will like to participate in or know about. But these desires are never-ending. So, one good moment, the bulb will get fused. That will not stop the world.
Oh, you mean the world will go blank for me? No. After death, there is no me, only Brahman.

Why do people have fear of what they've not experienced?
If a person has something important left to do by way of a mission, or duties to perform in terms of responsibilities to others he should not want to die. Even if he does not have things to do, he must live for as long as possible so as to find something important to do. The best thing a person can try and do is to attain knowledge and provide knowledge. That is what gyan yoga is about.

They see others dying and sometimes it is troublesome. That depends on chance and probability.
Certainly one never knows when one's time is up. If one keeps on a good diet and avoids harmful things it could make some of us live longer but that too is not guaranteed. What is the life force that makes the difference between a corpse and a being that acts. I do not think a scientist has ever defined this. It goes down to the manner in which electrons and atoms have intrinsic movement that are harnessed into life force but that is not life. Life comes from another dimension of energy that can only be described as soul force, as an act of God. Confused?

Who me? No. Not at all.

All parts are there, but it does not start. "Start nahin hoti".
That is right. In the same way when things combine to create a situation that living is not tenable the life support gets switched off. Is it a biological switch or an energy stream that blocks the mechanism. Will we ever know? - can we ever understand Maya, the creative mechanism of God. That would be like a person being God Himself. Hence duality is the reality. In duality, God makes it clear that the human being must live his own life and stop hankering for God to unite with.
