Actually Jensa, you don't really have to cook it! :D

A long time ago a minister friend of mine was telling us about the "Sea Food" diet. He sees food and he eats it! I quipped that I adhere to the "Faith Diet"; I don't have to see it! :D

Like it or not, we're all omnivores by design. So the veggie alternatives of the poll are perfectly superfluous. A very recent recommendation from assembled Scandinavian nutrition expertise clearly and unambiguosly states that we are omnivores, and that a balanced and healthy diet includes a fair amount of meat.

Regarding laboratory cultured meats, I'd have to know more about them before expressing an opinion. Do they contain those nasty unsaturated fatty acids, like fish does, or are they metabolized leaving no residual free radicals?

If the price is right, I'd probably try them anyway.

Without being omnivores, hominids would never have made it through the Pleistocene. Those unable to graze on tundra vegetation had no choice but to prey on those that could.

That said, carnivory today carries a huge environmental burden, as well as contributing to a great deal of cruelty and suffering. For both moral and environmental reasons I choose to remain strictly vegan.

You don't think Veggie burgers were created in a lab? or all those tofu products that someone how are supposed to resemble other real foods?

As for the human flesh question that's a big negatory. As far as I know animals tend to avoud eating the same species and I imagine it's for a pretty good reason. It seems every time you start feeding an animal it's own type something happens. I think for peace of mind I would stray from a Bob-burger with my fries.:D

Ah, a man after my own stomach!:biglaugh:

Count me in, even on the soylent greens. I've always wondered what we taste like. My bet is we taste like pork, but I've heard others say venison. Any guesses?

One Pacific Islander (new guinian?) canabal term for non-pier group humans is "long-pig" if that gives you any hint how we taste.
