Very confused about my religious status or what I believe in.

MountainPine,
I have found that the best way to get an understanding of the Holy Scriptures is to study Topically. That means to find a doctrine you want to understand fully, and then look up all the Scriptures that pertain to the subject. Then analyze each Scripture, take each word and make sure what it means in that Scripture, do that with each Scripture, then put the Scriptures together and form a theory about what they are all saying. After that, check to make sure that all Scriptures harmonize with your theory. If any Scripture, anywhere in the Bible disagrees with your theory, your theory is wrong. You must form a theory that harmonizes with every other Scripture. This is what Intertextualism means.
You need to have a concordance, a Bible dictionary, and a good. Easy to understand Bible.
If you have access to the Internet, download OliveTree, BibleHub, 67 Bible's. These are all free, and will provide you with all the research tool you need. I really like the Amplified Bible, because it puts in the Scriptures, explanations, in brackets, that are very helpful, because it keeps you from having to keep looking up things that are not understood. Darby's Bible is, to me, about the best Bible, and is actually better that some Literal Bible's.
Agape!!! And good hunting!

You're preach to the choir dude. I use BibleHub the most, and sometimes BlueLetterBible. I also use a Messianic version of the Bible known as The Scriptures. I don't rely on any contemporary Christian version, like the Amplified or the Darby's Bible.

If you two want to discuss Bible study, would you please do it in the Christianity DIR. Your posts have no connection to the OP's question, unless it's to imply that he's got it all wrong!

Revelation all the time
Okay so I made a first post asking for a place to ask this because I literally do not know what I believe AT ALL. I grew up in a Christian environment but never felt it. If that does not raise a flag, Idk then.

Ooohhh K... I hope this is in right section.

For starters: I believe in "God" but not God a spirit with human form, or like a person. Or a being that sits in heaven) I believe God as a spirit but formless that fills all. I believe God is just a spirit(a force that sustains a life) a spirit that is everything and nothing can exist with this base life. --- Sounds kinda Christian doesn't it? But wait...

I DO however believe in Heaven in this way: To me, Heaven is just the upper, higher plane of existence, where there is relatively no evil. I don't believe in Hell though.

Next I believe in multiple Gods. I believe many Gods of the pagans, but I believe all those gods manifest into 1 God. Does that make any sense? I hope

I don't believe in Satan either, I believe EVIL. I believe in Black and White. I believe in psychics (not the hollywood like psychics in games and things like that!), I also believe in magic (I believe in Black and White variations, not really the intention matters. Again not the Disney, or Hollywood or video games stuff) I don't believe in demons are angels. But I do believe in devils (I believe in devils, in this way: pesky evil suckers)

I'm really confused about this. Please keep in mind I did not know this for my whole life and just assumed I was "Christian", but i dont feel it anymore.

Thanks for your effort I tried to keep it very short. I could go maybe 100 more lines if i don't keep it short. Thanks beyond words how much this will help me! xoxo

Your avatar currently notes Religion as: Customized.
I see no issues with that. If you find it could be updated to something else, then choose it at the time.

You appear to me to be asserting a non-denominational form of Christianity. You wouldn't be the first.

Hi,
I'm curious what Christian mean to you?

So what believe in is determined by your world view. How you understand the existence of the world and where you fit in. A worldview is basic beliefs that shape our view of and for the world. And that is the basis of our decisions and actions. Your worldview determine your values and your values determine your behavior. I believe some people have it upside down, and they let their behaviors create their values, then they pick a worldview that suits their values.

I would start with do you believe the universe was created or not?

Try and answer yourself these ?s
1) Why am I living?
2) What is the cause of my existence and that of everyone else?
3) Why do I exist?
4) Why is there a division of good and evil within me?
5) How must I live?
6) What is death-how can I save myself?

Hope that helps. Keep searching
