Video: Texas judge allegedly beating 16 YO daughter

"The Internet is blowing up with a video allegedly posted by the daughter of an Aransas County judge that she says shows him beating her.

Someone who says she is the daughter of Judge William Adams posted the 2004 video only recently. The hard-to-take clip shows a man whipping her with a belt because she was downloading music from the net.

"Bend over the ******* bed!!" he screams as he belts her while she tries to squirm away. At another point he threatens to hit her "in your ******* face."

At another point a woman, who the poster says is her mother, comes in and tells her to bend over "like a 16-year-old and take it."

Adams has spopken with a Corpus Christi TV station:
ROCKPORT - Aransas County Court at Law Judge William Adams has spoken to our Andy Liscano about a video the judge's daughter posted on Youtube showing a beating in 2004. Judge Adams told us, "It happened years ago.. I apologized."

I couldn't bring myself to watch or even post the video. But what the heck, he did apologize,

The fact that it happened "years ago" and that he "apologized" is irrelevant. It's still a heinous crime, especially for someone who judges others for their crimes. Do you think he would have ever let the people he sentenced off easy if they had said "It happened years ago...I apologized."?
It boils my blood when people of the law (cops, judges, etc.) think they're above the law. And these people think their job title entitles them to respect and reverence.

I was more disturbed that what I expected. Just watched first minute 35 secs.

My mom used a belt on me once, don´t remember how old I was but I believe below 10, just don´t remember now.

I know I wouldn´t do this, but the fact that he abused her wife that is supposed to be her equal is what truly disgusts me. Pathethic, for an alleged man of the law.

I watched the whole thing. Was horrified and couldn't keep from crying. He said it wasn't as bad as it looked??? It just didn't seem to stop. When his wife took his belt he just went and got another one. All over a freakin downloaded game on her computer? Seriously? That's what he was yelling about at her. That she had put a game on her computer. She had illegally downloaded a game and installed it on her computer which was supposedly only for her schoolwork. He was ranting about problems computers cause and that he didn't even want one in the house and about how "disobedient" she was. He even told her that if she even so much as ever raises her voice to him that he would beat her into submission with his belt. Yes...his words...beat her into submission.

Saw the whole video and found it very disturbing especially after the first few minutes when you think it's over with, he comes in again to beat her and his wife takes part. I doubt this wife was "manipulated" as she claims. Then again there are women who believe in obeying the husband. I had a friend who's dad use to get all over her for little stuff like interrupting him while he spoke. Her mom never intervened. He was a hard core evangelical baptist who disciplined through ruler to the arm or a hard spank. Once he tried to go after me I called my dad up and that pretty much kept him from laying a finger on me. This is not a huge surprise to me but when you see it, it gives you a good idea of what a child is going through and the fear they endure. Abuse should never be taken lightly imo even if it involves an old fashion belt and a beat to submission.

That's looks worse than it actually is. I'm not defending the man, but I'm damn sure not condemning him, either. At least for that particular action, as I've no idea whether or not he's any good at his job.

The physical part of that punishment was ridiculous as far as what it felt like, I know because I've had my butt lit up on more than 1 occasion. It was a leather belt people; doubled up, actually.
