Islam seems to place a great deal of emphasis on following rules. I almost feel like it lacks in other areas sometimes. I had Saudi Arabian neighbors that I spent a lot of time with. Not sure what kind of things you would want me to say about my opinion of them and other muslims.
They're a diverse group of people (with their share of good and bad) and it's simply another religion. I don't practice it, because I don't agree with it (and it wouldn't agree with me), but I have nothing inherently against it.
A religion. That's it. There are many people, good or bad, who ascribe to it. Nothing more.
Never thought much about it.

Muslims are people. Some people are nice and some people are nasty.
I only know Muslims online - I don't know any Muslims IRL. I've made some good Muslim friends online, though, like SmartGuy.
A lot of Sikhs have issues with 'Muslims' or 'Islam', mainly due to the history of northern India and invasion by Mughals, whose religion was Islam. One of the events coming up on the Sikh calendar shortly is in memory of the Tenth Guru Sahib's two younger sons, who were captured and asked to convert to Islam (so the story goes...) and when they refused, they were bricked up in a wall to die. These sorts of stories perpetuate a level of suspicion that Sikhs have towards Islam.
At the same time, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji contains some writing by Muslims such as a Devotee Kabir, and Baba Fareed. And the First Guru Sahib's best friend was a Muslim. So its not all bad.

Sikhs believe prophet Muhammad pbuh was true prophet pbuh.

1.6 BILLION, 23.6 % of the worlds population are islamic.
10% are said to be radical that engage in murdering infidels. That would be you and me.
Many are Al Queda and ISIS or many of the other groups that engage in terrorism though out the world.
That does not bode well for infidels or even other muslims that are not the right kind of muslims.
I feel troubled for the vast population of dedicated muslims who practice the religion in a peaceful and loving way.
It can't be easy for those dedicated believers when the world sees the horrific crimes committed by radical muslims.
How would you feels if you are a Christian knowing that thousands of radical Christians murder people for disrespecting your saints or religious leaders?
When was the last time a nun committed suicide by blowing themselves up in a subway or a church meeting, killing innocent children?
I would feel horrible if a Christian committed heinous crimes. I might even deny my association with a religous group that murdered people for making a cartoon of a saint or religious person.

I had a friend, a doctor, that was a Sikh and he carried a pistol to defend himself from radical muslims. He told me that Sikh and muslims fued between the two religions to the point of open warfare in some parts of the world.
The doctor said Sikhs are often mistaken for muslims due to the turbans Sikh men wear. The turbans are different tho but most people don't realize the difference between the styles of the turbans.
I'm not aware of the reason for the fued between the two religious groups.
Sikhs do not try to convert others to the Sikh religion but islamics want world domination; even to the point of conversion by the sword.

Some muslims get cranky about cartoons or Muhammed as we saw in France last week.
Al Queada has declared war on France for printing 3 million magazines with a cartoon of Muhammed on the cover.
3 million magazines sold out in one day worldwide.
I doubt any muslims bought a copy tho.
If I had a copy of that magazine I'd not make it known for fear of being shot by a radical islamic.
Wonder if those that bought the satire magazine of Muhammed on the cover get a deal on bullet resistant vests?
Evidently Muhammed was told by the angel Gabriel to dictate revelations from Allah over 23 years. That is why the koran is written so poorly and it hard to read and reason from reading it.
The book follows no rules normally associated with a bible making it difficult
to read and understand.

No, this is incorrect, as Sikhs do not believe in any prophets, let alone a 'true prophet', and they don't have any special regard for Muhammad.

Yes I belive you are quite correct.
Jamaca sounds like a nice place for some R&R.
I will tell you that some radical muslims did threaten to kill me when I was a police officer. They were headquartered in Youngstown and bought a mom & pop corner store in my city. The were buying food stamps for 50 cents on the dollar, selling booze to underage black kids and doing a brisk business selling cocaine and pot.
They insured the store for a great deal more than it was worth then blew it up.
4 fireman, friends of mine were badly hurt when the 50 gallons of gasoline blew up.
Two of the fireman were blown out of the building, both suffered burns and broken backs. They never worked again so severe were their injuries.
That was 25 years ago. 20 years ago I suffered broken ribs, and a broken back making an arrest of an armed robber.
I spent 9 months, 5 days a week in rehab learning to walk again rerouting the nerves in my paralyzed legs.
I'm very lucky that I can walk today. The damage was so severe that I was disabled and my career ended after over 22 years on the job.
Please understand that I do not feel muslims are bad people at all.
There are some radicals that hurt decent & loving muslim believers.
The media gives a lot of air time to radicals that committe crimes but at the same time the media also points out that radicals are but a small percent of muslims.
I watch Al Jazzera news and see the other side of the coin.
Islamics suffer at the hands of the Isreali military. Something mainstream media won't give air time to. Al Jazzera does give airtime to the atrocities committed by the Isreali military againts islamic believers.

One shouldn't just "follow" any religion at all.
One should live authentically with the highest morals, clear intent and with contentment. Religion often distracts people from this basic and decent philosophy.
If one must have a religion, it should be for them a way of life, and they should contemplate it deeply and endeavour to see through the basics and external trappings and get to the core - which I believe is similar in most religions; be a good person.
