If i may say, you're the OP, you asked which is greater. When you're asked for clarification for what you mean by 'greater', and then respond with the same question, that doesn't exactly help us get anywhere.

You need to clarify your question in order for it to be addressed properly.

Violence is a tactic used by people of low intellect to impose their will on other people. If they had a good idea, then people would embrace it automatically. Diplomacy and conversation is the only way forward. Violence breeds violence.

I agree, i think this should be the way people approach there lives. However, that does not equal in my eyes to say that there would never be an exception, or a situation where i need to use violence.

Generally, violence is a sign of weakness in other departments, and does not help things at all. In fact most of the time it makes the world a terrible place. However, once again, to generalize that or equate it to always, means a different thing.

When you're to choose between using violence to counter someone else's and protect someone who does not deserve to be victimized, in that case in my opinion its the best thing to do. As to do otherwise means injustice to the person who is about to be victimized.

Sometimes people just go against the odds especially when there is despair/anger involved.

So that we can discuss and drill down into ‘origin’ of violence in the human consciousness. I wish a new subject called ‘Perspective on Violence’ be introduced in all schools and colleges of the world, in addition to the usual Physics, Chemistry etc. If the nearly invisible under 3-feet 8 billion getting-nursed human population is given ‘insight’ into this ‘Perspective on Violence’ – may be they will DIVERT THE BILLIONS & BILLIONS of DOLLARS of Weaponization of Space and Artificial Land Boundaries – and use the Enormous Wealth RELEASED – to provide milk for THEIR babies and take care of one another!...instead of following the Same Old Established WAR AGENDAS they find getting dumped on their Laps!
