The worst human characteristics come from an earthy beginning. Called the natural man made of dust. The one who corrupts God's way. the one who chooses death rather than life.
So you don't believe the Biblical depiction of the god character to be factual?

All this was written down by the Canaanites a thousand years before the Hebrews could write. They borrowed their myths from Egypt, Babylon and Ugarit.....

Its undeniable.. and the truth is important or should be.
The truth is that you deny the oral tradition and so do the Biblical scholars you speak about.

It's fine to do so. No one is asking you to believe in anything. But it's important to point out that there is an oral tradition, and that the written scripture is not the only source of religious story-telling.

The Caananites could have been borrowing from the oral tradition.

The Ugaritic tablets predate the existence of Abraham by 1500 years. .. so what oral tradition are you speaking of? The Canaanites had written language as did Babylon and Sumer long before Israel.

Remember Abraham's mother was a Horite and so was his father, Terah.

Abraham wasn't the beginning of the chain. Adam is where the story starts.

Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
We Jews speak casually of Abraham being a Jew, because he received the covenant from God. But of course we know that to be technically inaccurate. He is, rather, the Patriarch of the Jewish people. He was actually a Sumerian who because a Hebrew.

The Jews, or People of Israel, actually originated with Abraham's grandson, Jacob (renamed Israel) and his 12 sons, who founded the 12 tribes of Israel. Later in history, three of these tribes (Judah, Benjamin, and Levi) along with a smattering of refugees from the others went into captivity in Babylon where they were called Jews as a group. Today we are still called Jews, although among ourselves we still call ourselves B'nei Yisrael, the Children of Israel.

Did you read the link I provided for you about the Tower of Babel Story?

Christ and his disciple believed the Scripture to be accurate and quoted from them often. Even the revelation of Christ is the spirit of the prophets and can be understood only in connection with Moses,Ezekiel, Isaiah, Daniel and others.

There was NO Daniel. He was a popular character strait out of the Ugarit Tablets... Isaiah has all sorts of problems.

Shem, Eber, Abraham and Israel are all ancestors of Christ. Shem is the father of all the children of Eber. It stands to reason that the way of the LORD was to be preserved by the children of Eber. They became known as Hebrews. And the one true God is the God of the Hebrews.

Greetings

It might, I feel, be beneficial to add that Jehovah - who was up to the New Testament exclusively the God of the Hebrews/Israelites- now extended his favor also upon the people of the nations.
(Ro.3:29)...is he the God of the Jews only?
"is he not also (the God) of people of the nations ?

Jews or Judeans were descendants of Abraham's great-grandson Judah.
So, the short answer is no, he couldn't have been !
Of course he could not have been.
Internally, the word "Jew" has no legal meaning. We use the phrase Yisroel meaning Israelite. There is a question in Jewish sources regarding whether or not Abraham had the legal status of an Israelite (despite obviously not descending from Jacob). But the term "Jew" is a much, much later term.
