Was Eastern Spirituality a precursor to endocrinology?

I was thinking. Kundalini seems a lot like adrenaline.

An the chakras are located at about the same areas as endocrin glands that do about the same things as what the chakras do.

Crown = pituitary/pineal gland
Throat = thyroid gland

And so on.

This wouldn't compramise the legitamacy of your religion it would just explain how it works and why. Maybe chakra unlocking was a way to control your endocrine system and use it to your advantage.

As I understand it, Kundalini, etc. refer to energies within man that are above the physical plane and interpenetrate the physical body and give it vitality.

Although you might be onto something with physical correlatives of super-physical processes.

I mean some of the things spoken of in eastern spirituality seem useful in medicine. Such as what I mentioned. I would like to learn more about it either way, are there any books that would give me a grasp on some of the things done in Buddhism, Hinduism, etc, that are relatable to scientific fact.

I know it has been proven that living things have auras, and that there is evidence for reincarnation.

Aura's are proven now? That IS news. I must have missed it.

As for evidence for reincarnation, there is evidence for a lot of things, but that doesn't mean it it particularly good or compelling evidence. Heck, there is "evidence" that Bigfoot actually exists. That so-called "evidence" doesn't mean that BigFoot IS real. Likewise with the anecdotes about reincarnation. (And that is coming from someone who believes in reincarnation - tho to be fair - not in the common understanding of the term.)

In regards to the OP... Oh, good grief. :facepalm:
