I personally can't believe that you don't see that the thread exists. It's obvious to me that there is no good argument against its existence.

How can you blindly believe that the thread exists without any evidence? What revelation did you have to prove the existence of such a thread? And even if you had such a revelation...did others share in it and therefore validate your "proof"? For if it was just your own belief in the thread and nothing to back it up you can never be sure.
