Wavy hair

Does anyone here know how to take care of it? When i was a kid I'd get in serious trouble for my hair being messy. But that's cuz I always had to treat it like straight hair that wouldn't behave. It's actually wavy when it's longer. And I came to the realization last night maybe that's why it was messy. Cuz I don't know how to care for wavy hair.

Hmmm... My hair is curly, but wavy when it's shorter. What I've learned growing my hair out, surprisingly, is to wash it more, but comb it less.

I use conditioner in my hair almost daily. But only shampoo once or twice a week. With the conditioner in I comb my hair with my fingers, breaking it up, and never use a comb.

Never comb dry hair if you do use one.

Easy!
Grow old.
I once had brown curly locks.
Now I'm lucky just to have straight white hair.

Good conditioners are great, but you might also want a haircut that's styled to suit wavy hair, too.

If you're having recurring issues with your hair not staying put, you might want to gently run your fingers through your hair with a delicate amount of hair mousse.

You might want to play around with styles to find one that's a bit less messy, which will probably depend on how wavy your hair is.

My hair's kind of wavy.

I just brush it sometimes. Wash it sometimes. Dye it when it loses its hue. Put it back when it annoys me. But I'm not the fussy type, and my days concerned with being pretty are over now.

I'll be pleased when I have a nice thick white beard :)

Me too!

My son, who is now over 50 tried since he was a teenager to control his curly hair. Even resorted wearing a ski hat after shampooing, obviously, nothing worked, until he married and has since kept his hair short and tight. Our youngest daughter's hair was even curlier. Once in a while she straightens it for a different look, but if its humid weather you can literally watch it curl back up again. I agree, try a little moose or some kind of gel, and enjoy the curls.
