Ways in Which Feminism Benefits or Can Benefit Men

I can think of one thing. It would be more acceptable for men to work in childcare careers and as such any man working in the field of education with grade schoolers and pre-schoolers wouldn't have to worry about being automatically labeled a pedophile simply because of their gender.

Cause, you know, the only reason any man could possibly have for wanting to spend time with children MUST be because he's sexually attracted to them and could never be because they genuinely find it worthwhile to educate the next generation.

Dude, if you think it was bad in the culture presented in the Tanakh, check out pre-Christian Greco-Roman attitudes towards women. The Hebrews at the time were downright progressive in comparison.
Remember the Ancient Greeks obsession with Amazons: being overthrown and ruled by women. The inspiration for the Amazon warrior lore came partly from the stories of women fighting with men of the Scythian and a few other barbarian tribes where present day Ukraine and the Caucasus is located. During those times, it should be pointed out that the "civilized" nations, like the Greco-Romans were the anomaly, not the rule! The Germanic barbarians and others....even the warrior tribes like the Scythians, surrounding their empires, did not take away the rights of women and turn them into property.

Patriarchy is a relatively modern construct for living...and again, there are no records of patriarchal societies prior to 5000 years ago. Consider how long our path from immediate-return to delayed-return to horticultural to agricultural ways of life have been, and it's only during that last period when we start seeing unbalanced patriarchal societies.

The only reason why patriarchy is considered natural, inevitable and normal today, is because the histories that we have been taught (Greco-Roman and Judeo-Christian) are already patriarchal at their beginnings. If that's where you set the starting line for human behavior, no wonder it's taken as matter-of-fact today.

Oh, I know. Hail Iceni-Queen Boudica! ^_^

Far as I'm concerned, "civilized" simply means "living in cities". It doesn't speak to a culture's virtue or human rights level. Since they're all dead, I have no shame in declaring the Caesars and their Legions my enemies. ^_^

I think, ultimately, at the end of the day, we would just like to not be superfluously judged on our innate attributes. If the world spent a tenth of the effort it spends on all of its superfluously judgement on meaningless moral drivel on people who actual commit giant crimes across the world, we'd probably all get a long better.
