I'm not surprised. It seems like anything happens we pay more. Gas prices go up so costs go up so we pay more. Economy does better so we have more money so we pay more.

In case it's interesting to anyone here, it's worth noting that the same thing is happening here in Australia. Prices are sky-rocketing.
We have a conservative government, and Joe Biden isn't our Prime Minister, far as I'm aware.

Depends on the state. That's ok in major cities.

With higher prices, heating costs go higher, truckers make less money, products cost more--it is an economic downturn for most people.

Society is to blame.

Any attempt to point the finger to one person, or one group, or one industry is nothing more than than ignoring the actual reasons and continuing the status quo.

And society is just fine with that.
