In the United States we don’t ration medical care.

No we just charge more then anywhere else in the developed world for it. And if you can't afford it... **** it.. debt for you.

If you can't work hard enough and earn enough, why get medicine/medical care right?

Well, hubby won't allow them in with us, so he likes the door shut. When he is gone, the door is open and cats are all over me. But at least the bed is bigger than the couch.

I wanted the dog to sleep on the floor next to us, my wife wanted him in the bed with us. So we compromised and he sleeps in the bed between us :p

Because rationed care is a bargain, so long as you don’t really need a procedure.

I end up with cats all over me regardless of where I end up. Haha
You, too. Throw in a couple of dogs. This is why I must have a Wyoming king sized bed. With a recent additional cat, I may have to upgrade to an Alaskan. :D

The US also rations care. Just differently

Canada and U.S. both ration healthcare – they just do it differently – Evidence Network

"If patients want these services, they pay more out of pocket, postpone them or skip them altogether. Instead of rationing with waiting lists, America rations with price. If some patients don’t have $600 for an MRI co-pay, they may not get it, and studies have shown that people do forego care when cost-sharing increases."

I've got a king. I've never heard of a wyoming or Alaskan king. Only Californian which is just longer.

We usually end up with 3 cats and a dog in bed with us. The dog is the size of a small child.

Nub is almost man-sized. He's a monster of a Doberman. He kicks in his sleep sometimes. Dude leaves marks if I let him under the covers, if. o_O:eek:

A Canadian author trying to justify Canada. Hilarious. The author stated falsehoods. I live in the United States and an Emergency room visit for me doesn’t have a $250-$350 co pay. I would have a co pay of $0. Likewise if I needed an MRI the co pay would be $0, although the office visit co pay might be $20. So, yeah. Better coverage, lower cost in the good old USA.

Same. Loki is about 60lbs, and he kick stretches at night. He also will not sleep anywhere but under the covers haha. I regularly wake up scratched, bruised etc. Well worth it.

Ok? And?

A citizen is a citizen.
Wow, she was wrong. Americans don’t have the co pays she said we do. I know I sure don’t.

Yes, Canada rations health care.

Canadians Are One In A Million -- While Waiting For Medical Treatment

“Canada's single-payer healthcare system forced over 1 million patients to wait for necessary medical treatments last year. That's an all-time record.

Those long wait times were more than just a nuisance; they cost patients $1.9 billion in lost wages, according to a new report by the Fraser Institute, a Vancouver-based think-tank.

Lengthy treatment delays are the norm in Canada and other single-payer nations, which ration care to keep costs down.“

We don't ration medical care in Canada, either. They won't do another surgery because the risk of spinal cord injury is way too high. I'd rather put up with pain than suffer the indignity of cauda equina syndrome.
