Who uses the term "colored" anymore? That is kind of ridiculous. I am not black, so I can't really speak to it being offensive or not. But, doesn't everyone know by now that black people don't like that term, as it reminds them of segregation times?

When it comes to Islam I think that would have been more dicey than extremism, I don't get the impression that they view fundamentalism in the same light as we do.

The differences I see here though, is that we are talking about two different cultures and two different languages. I don't know why it is so important to make such a distinction between Islamist and Islamic, but it could be cultural thing.
